Teleneurology

To ensure patients at every Hartford HealthCare hospital have 24/7 access to world-class emergency stroke and critical neurology care, we participate in a telehealth network.

An extension of the award-winning Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center services at Hartford Hospital, the telehealth network provides stroke and neurology consultative services using advanced telemedicine technology, within 15 minutes of the initial call.

This collaborative effort ensures patients receive the right care at the right place at the right time.

Our Telehealth Network for stroke includes:

  • Access TeleCare, a partnership that allows us to connect with skilled, experienced neurologists who can provide high-quality specialized care when needed. The Access TeleCare team’s experience in critical stroke care is a significant advantage in determining if a clot-busting drug should be administered or if a patient requires transfer to a higher level of care.
  • Rapid access to consults for patients with conditions such as aneurysms, brain tumors, concussions, epilepsy and those affecting the head and spine.
  • Stroke treatment training.
