Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited to give a lecture at the XIV Colombian Neurology Congress in Colombia, South America on the topic of “Migraine in the Pregnant and Nursing Mother”.

November 21, 2019:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited to give a lecture entitled “ What Components are Needed to Train an APP to See Headache Patients?” at the American Headache Society Annual Symposium in Scottsdale, Arizona.

November 8, 2019:

Dr. Brian Grosberg presented “How does Lean Management Work in a Headache Practice?” to the Practice Management Committee at the 61st Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Headache Society in Philadelphia, PA.

May 15, 2019:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited to give the guest lecture on “Rhinogenic Headache: A Headache Specialist’s Perspective” at the New York Allergy and Asthma Society Annual Meeting at the Harvard Club in New York City.

February 27, 2019:

Dr. Grosberg was the invited Grand Rounds lecturer at the Ney York Medical College Department of Neurology. His presentation was entitled “Headache in Pregnancy”.

December 6, 2018:

Dr. Grosberg presented “Neuromodulation in Headache” to the Department of Neurology at the University of Connecticut Medical School in Hartford, CT

November 17, 2018:

Dr. Grosberg presented "The results of a prospective, randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled, multi-center study that evaluated the efficacy and safety of Nerivio Migra for the acute treatment of migraine" at the American Headache Society's 60th Annual Symposium, Scottsdale, AZ

October 27, 2018:

June 2, 2018:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited to deliver a lecture on "A Collaborative Care Model for an Interdisciplinary Headache Center with Telehealth" at the Association of Migraine Disorders Awards Dinner on June 2, in Providence, Rhode Island.

May, 2018:

Dr. Chua was invited to give Medical Grand Rounds at Midstate Hospital. Attendees were from multiple medical specialties, including rheumatology, family medicine, ophthalmology, critical care, and surgery. Topic: “Headache Management-A Practical Guide”

May 11, 2018:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited to deliver a lecture on “Rhinogenic Headache:  A Neurologist’s Perspective” at the 2018 New York Advanced Rhinology and Sinus Surgery Course at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York.

April 13, 2018:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited to deliver a lecture on "Neuromodulation in Headache" at the 6th Annual Neuroscience Institute Susan and Bernard Leifer Headache and Pain Symposium at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.

March, 2018:

Dr. Chua was invited to give Neurology Grand Rounds at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania. Topic: “Management of Headache During Pregnancy and the Postpartum Period”

March, 2018:

Dr. Grosberg presented two lectures, “Rhinogenic Headache: A Neurologist’s Perspective” and “Neuromodulation of Headache Disorders”, at the XIII Colombian Neurological Congress Annual Meeting in Barranquilla, Colombia. Dr. Grosberg was one of the invited international speakers, including two colleagues from Spain, at this meeting attended by over 900 people.

February 24, 2018:

Jessica Rebucci and Kelly Vanacore made a fun “Headache Trivia” Board for Hartford HealthCare's Healthy Family FunFest. We had a phenomenal turnout at the event! Dr. Chua, Jess B, Kelly, Sam, Christina, Jess R, Monique, and LaToya volunteered their time to represent the Headache Center at the event. They did a great job engaging the public and really promoting our specialists and centers across the state.

February 8, 2018:

Andrea Murphy, APRN gave a lecture entitled "Headache Management - A Case-based Approach for OB Providers" to Women’s Health (Dr. Amy Johnson and her OB colleagues).

December 6, 2017:

Psychologist Dr. Brooke Pellegrino gave a presentation at the Institute of Living entitled "Headache Treatment: An Overview".

December 4, 2017:

Sheena Mehta gave a lecture to the public on migraine at the Marilyn Michaelson Senior Center of Bloomfield.

November 10, 2017:

Dr. Grosberg gave a two lectures at the CT ENT Society Annual Education Meeting entitled "Headache Management: A Case-based Approach" & "Rhinogenic Headache: A neurological Perspective".

November 1, 2017:

Dr. Grosberg gave a lecture entitled "Neuromodulation for Headache Disorders" to the Department of Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

June 9, 2017:

Psychologist Dr. Brooke Pellegrino gave a poster presentation at the American Headache Society conference in Boston, Massachusetts. 

April 23–29, 2017:

April 19, 2017:

Dr. Abigail Chua gave a presentation at the Midstate Donor Recognition Event at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford to benefit the Ayer Neuroscience Institute.

March 3–4, 2017:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was invited by the Colombian Neurological Association to deliver lectures on "Headache in Pregnancy" and "Retinal Migraine" at the Colombian Headache Symposium in Colombia, South America.

January 24, 2017:

Abigail Chua, DO, presented “Don’t Let Headaches Rule Your Life” at the Midstate Family Health Center. Dr. Chua discussed the importance of taking headaches seriously, and she described clinical treatment options for patients afflicted by migraines and headaches.

January 19, 2017:

Renee Kane, APRN, hosted a “Meet the Doc” event at the Wallingford Family YMCA – West Side Branch. This event coincided with the YMCA’s blood pressure screenings and invited the public to meet Renee Kane, APRN, and a primary care physician, to discuss headache and migraine care and treatment options.

2016

December 6, 2016:

Dr. Brooke Pellegrino gave a 4-hour training workshop to psychologists at the Institute of Living. The training subject was Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia.
 
December 2, 2016:

Dr. Brian Grosberg gave a lecture titled  “Headache Management” for the Division of Psychosomatic Medicine at the Institute of Living.

October 20, 2016:

Dr. Brian Grosberg gave a lecture titled “Headache in Pregnancy” at Grand Rounds for the Department of Neurology at Hartford Hospital, University of Connecticut.

September 23, 2016:

Dr. Brian Grosberg gave a lecture titled “Headache in the Emergency Department” at Grand Rounds for the Division of Urgent Care, Hartford HealthCare System.

August 11, 2016:

Dr. Brian Grosberg gave a lecture titled “Heading off Migraine” at Grand Rounds for the Department of Medicine at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, University of Connecticut. 

June 24, 2016:

Dr. Brian Grosberg was an invited lecturer at the 15th Annual Primary Care Focus Symposium of Baptist Health South Florida. His lecture was titled “Headache Management – A Case-Based Approach”. 

June 15, 2016:

Andrea Murphy, APRN, delivered a lecture during a lunch and learn at the West Hartford Senior Center entitled “Heading off Migraine: A Practical Approach to the Evaluation and Treatment”. She discussed how to exclude worrisome causes of headache, assign a diagnosis of migraine, and formulate a treatment plan for headache consisting of both non-medication and medication measures.

June 11, 2016:

Sheena Doyle, PA-C and Andrea Murphy, APRN, presented a poster at the American Headache Society’s 58th Annual Scientific Meeting in San Diego, CA. Their abstract was entitled “Gustatory Hallucinations in Primary Headache Disorders: 4 New Cases and a Review of the Literature”. (click photo for a larger image)

April 15, 2016:

Brian Grosberg, MD, delivered a lecture at the 2016 New York Advanced Rhinology and Sinus Surgery Course entitled “Rhinogenic Headache: A Neurologist’s Perspective” at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, NY. In his lecture he discussed identifying warning signs of serious secondary headaches, understanding the relationship of sinus symptoms to migraine and other headache disorders, and knowing the differential diagnostic criteria for migraine and other primary headache disorders vs. sinusitis. 

March 29, 2016:

Andrea Murphy, APRN, delivered a lecture to a large audience in Wethersfield entitled “Heading off Migraine: A Practical Approach to the Evaluation and Treatment”. She discussed how to exclude worrisome causes of headache, assign a diagnosis of migraine, and formulate a treatment plan for headache consisting of both non-medication and medication measures.

March 15, 2016:

Brian Grosberg, MD, delivered a lecture to a large audience at BlueBack Square entitled “Heading off Migraine: A Practical Approach to the Evaluation and Treatment”. He discussed how to exclude worrisome causes of headache, assign a diagnosis of migraine, and formulate a treatment plan for headache consisting of both non-medication and medication measures.

Renee Kane, APRN, delivered a lecture to a large audience at the Duncaster Retirement Community on February 18, 2016 entitled “Heading off Migraine: A Practical Approach to the Evaluation and Treatment”. She discussed how to exclude worrisome causes of headache, assign a diagnosis of migraine, and formulate a treatment plan for headache consisting of both non-medication and medication measures.

2015

December 4, 2015:

Brian Grosberg, MD, delivered a lecture entitled “Headache in the Emergency Department” at the Miami Neuroscience Symposium, Baptist Health South Florida. In his lecture he discussed the epidemiology of primary and secondary headache in the emergency department (ED), why headache patients go to the ED, secondary headache in the ED, management of intractable headache in the ED, disposition of headache patients after discharge from the ED, and discharge recommendations for minimizing future headache-related ED visits.
