Jennifer Ferrand, PsyD
Well-Being Director

Dr. Jennifer Ferrand, Well-Being Director, is a board-certified clinical health psychologist with 17 years of experience in Hartford HealthCare. She has worked clinically in specialty areas including preventive cardiology, pain management, primary care, and surgical weight loss. She was integral to the development of a health psychology service line at the Institute of Living, and is passionate about training and mentorship. She is knowledgeable about the challenges faced by healthcare professionals, and in 2018 helped develop initiatives including a Provider Peer Support Program that contributed to the creation of Hartford HealthCare’s Well-Being Department. As Director of Well-Being, Dr. Ferrand guides the development and deployment of strategic initiatives to advance well-being for all who work in HHC, and leads the team’s research and educational activities. She finds joy in music and the outdoors, and strives to practice and teach a mindful, self-compassionate way of life.

Hillary Landry, MA
Well-Being Manager

Hillary Landry, Well-Being Manager, has been working in the healthcare arena for many years. She has worked both clinically as an exercise physiologist, and at the corporate level helping to engage consumers from health plans and employer groups to drive positive behavior change and improve health outcomes. Hillary joined Hartford HealthCare (HHC) in 2015, as the Department Coordinator for the Medical Affairs and Quality Department. Hillary also served as the Manager for Professional Education at HHC, which provided direction and oversight for Continuing Medical Education and HHC’s online learning management system across the HHC enterprise. As Wellness Manager, Hillary is passionate about meeting our colleagues where they are and creating programs, interventions, and messaging that support our colleagues in being their healthiest selves. Wellness is not a one size fits all and Hillary focuses on how to create, deliver, and optimize wellness solutions that meet the needs of the business and our colleagues. Hillary has a Master of Art in Health Communications from Emerson College in collaboration with Tufts University School of Medicine and has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Skidmore College. She is a certified Corporate Wellness Coach, Wellness Chef, Certified Coach Practitioner, and has performed nationally and international in song and dance.

Sarah Jones, LCSW
Well-Being Manager

Sarah Jones, Well-Being Manager, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience in the field of behavioral health. She began her clinical career working for the Alabama drug court program before transitioning to working with adjudicated teens in Washington DC. She has been working in the healthcare setting for the past 8 years and joined Hartford Healthcare in 2017. Most recently, Sarah served as the social work manager for inpatient behavioral health for Hartford Healthcare’s Central Region. During her time in this role, Sarah developed and implemented a number of initiatives to improve the well-being of her colleagues such as creating standard work for post-assault debriefings, individual and group colleague support sessions, and the Central Region Well-Being Committee. As the well-being manager, Sarah is passionate about ensuring that each and every one of our colleagues’ voices are heard, and creating an environment of emotional safety and well-being in the workplace. Sarah believes in the power of vulnerability, laughter, and human connection in all aspects of her life. In her free time she enjoys dancing, music, movies, and spending time with her husband and six children.
