New Expanded Hours at Convention Center Mega-Vaccine Site

April 12, 2021

Flexibility is key as Hartford HealthCare works to meet state residents’ demand for COVID-19 vaccine, so  the system has announced expanded hours at its Convention Center mega site on specific days the next two weeks to be more accessible to working families.

The expanded hours are:

  • Wednesday, April 14: 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 15: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 21: 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 22: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Here are the site’s regular hours:

  • Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun: 9 a.m.-4 p.m

  • Tues, Wed: 11:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

The Connecticut Convention Center is at 20 Commerce St. Vaccines are given by appointment only. To make an appointment, click here.

The expanded access comes as Hartford HealthCare marks several milestones in vaccine distribution:

  • Passing the 300,000 mark for the number of vaccines administered in fixed and mobile vaccine clinics statewide.
  • Breaking the single-day vaccine record when 8,179 were given on Friday, April 9.
  • Designating 35 percent of allocated vaccine to residents in underserved areas.
  • Administering 51 vaccines in the emergency departments of Hartford HealthCare acute care facilities since launching such efforts on April 8.
