A Winter-Themed Paralympics for St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services Students
March 28, 2022
The St. Vincent’s Medical Center’s Special Needs Services school in Trumbull offers an alternative placement to school systems and families for children ages 3 to 21 with developmental and/or medical needs such as cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injury, seizure disorders, neuromotor diseases and/or medical conditions requiring nursing support services.
The program’s objective is to provide each student individual instruction and support designed to facilitate learning in all developmental areas. The school recently held Paralympic games for the students as a unique way to integrate movement and fun into the school day.
