Make Your Plan Change: Medicare Advantage’s Open Enrollment Period Ends March 31

Are you unhappy with your Medicare Advantage plan? Did you miss fall’s Annual Enrollment Period?
Every year from Jan.1 to March 31, those with a Medicare Advantage plan have the opportunity to either:
- Switch to a different Medicare Advantage Plan with or without drug coverage.
- Go back to Original Medicare and, if needed, also join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.
If you make a plan change during this time, your new coverage will begin the first of the month following your enrollment in a new plan.
Although many Medicare beneficiaries find the process of comparing plans challenging or have limited confidence when choosing a better plan, help is available. Because you can switch your Medicare Advantage plan during Open Enrollment, it’s important to understand and be confident in your Medicare coverage options.
