Free Health Talk: Managing the Holidays for People with Memory Loss

October 21, 2019

Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) is presenting a free health talk entitled “Managing the Holidays for People with Memory Loss” by Jennifer Labrie, Resource Coordinator at the CHH Center for Healthy Aging.

The hectic holiday season can fluster anyone, but for people with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, the noisy crowds, breaks in routine and unfamiliar visitors can trigger extreme anxiety. This program will include effective strategies to help overcome challenges often associated with the holiday season.

The talk will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 5 to 6 pm at the CHH Hungerford Center Conference Room, 780 Litchfield St. in Torrington. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The talk is sponsored by Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging. Seating is limited and registration is required. To RSVP, call Jennifer Labrie at 860.496.6240.
