Heart Screening

Calcium scoring is a painless, non-invasive, five-minute scan that determines your risk of having a heart attack.

A CT Scan is used to test for calcium build-up of plaque on the coronary artery walls. This plaque causes narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels. For half of Americans, the first symptom of heart disease is a heart attack. With early detection your doctors can determine the best treatment for lowering your risk of having a heart attack.

Who should consider calcium scoring?

Two out of three adults are at risk for heart disease. You should consider your calcium score if you are:

  • Male age 45+
  • Female age 55+

Be sure to get your annual physical checkup and talk to your doctor about Calcium Scoring.
