Participants Needed for Sickle Cell/Brain fMRI Research Study

Drs Zempsky & Hagstrom from Connecticut Children’s and Dr. Stevens from HH are conducting a research study using fMRI to understand how pain affects the brains of people with sickle cell disease. Healthy volunteers who are African-American and between the ages of 15-30 years are eligible. One 3-hour visit will be required and you will be compensated for your time!
