Cardiac Surgery - Terminate AF Study

Irrigated Radio Frequency Ablation to Terminate Non-Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Dr. Robert Hagberg is the Principal Investigator for this research study.  The Cardioblate hand held devices are indicated for cardiac tissue ablation. The purpose of the clinical study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Cardioblate iRF and CryoFlex hand held devices to expand the Indication for Use to include the treatment of persistent atrial fibrillation and long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation (non-paroxysmal AF) in subjects undergoing concomitant cardiac surgery.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • History of non-paroxysmal AF (persistent or longstanding persistent
  • Able to take the anticoagulant warfarin or novel oral anticoagulants (NOAC)
