Stephanie Alessi-LaRosa, MD, MPH, has joined the Hartford HealthCare Ayer Neuroscience Institute as a sports neurologist and director of the new Sports Neurology Program.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University and a medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She completed a residency in neurology through the University of Connecticut at Hartford Hospital, and a fellowship in sports neurology at The Sports Neurology Clinic in Michigan.
On the Hartford HealthCare team, she is responsible for providing advanced care for athletes with sports-related neurologic injuries and conditions. Her areas of clinical interest concussion, post-concussion syndrome and migraines/headaches.
