Dr. Leah Bassin is a breast surgeon with the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute Breast Program. Clinically, her interests are breast health and wellness, high-risk breast disease, breast preservation surgery, oncoplastic breast surgery, breast cancer surgery and diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsy.
After finishing her undergraduate degree at The George Washington University, Dr. Bassin earned a medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency in general surgery at The Stamford Hospital/Columbia University, and a fellowship in breast surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center/St. Luke’s Roosevelt.
Dr. Bassin is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
