Abhishek Jaiswal, MD, is a consultant advanced heart failure treatment and heart transplant cardiologist at Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute.
After completing medical school at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India he joined the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York for internship and internal medicine residency.
There Dr. Jaiswal received Dr. Edward Meilman Award for outstanding resident teacher and department chair book award for outstanding graduating medicine resident.
Following residency, he did his clinical cardiovascular diseases fellowship at the New York Hospital Queens in New York.
Subsequently, he joined Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey for training in advanced heart failure treatment and heart transplant fellowship.
He previously was Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tulane University from 2014 to 2017.
He has authored many scientific articles on topics including heart failure, myocardial recovery, mechanical circulatory support, obesity, hypertension, and cardiac re-vascularization.
