Nicole Gill is a board-certified neurologist and headache specialist with extensive experience in headache diagnosis, treatment and management. She works in the Hartford Healthcare Headache Center in our Cheshire location.

She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Rhode Island, where she worked as Rhode Island EMT-B. Dr. Gill graduated from the Florida branch of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine where she learned a holistic approach to traditional medicine. She then completed her internship at Huron Valley Hospital in Commerce, Michigan; osteopathic neurology residency at Garden City Hospital in Michigan; and headache fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Gill worked for almost 6 years in private practice at The Carolina Headache Institute in Durham, North Carolina before joining Hartford Healthcare headache center in 2020.

Dr. Gill has extensive expertise and training in procedural interventions including nerve blocks, trigger point injections, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, and Botox administration for the treatment of headache. She has experience in research participating as a sub-investigator in clinical trials. She is passionate about expanding awareness for headache disorders. Every year Dr. Gill has travels to Washington, DC with the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy. This group advocates for those living with headache disorders.

Areas of clinical interest include chronic migraine, menstrual related migraine, facial pain, cluster headache and other trigeminal autonomic cephalgias.
