Get all the help you need during the ongoing pandemic with Hartford HealthCare’s COVID Safety Support Program, the only coronavirus program of its kind in Connecticut.
Some examples:
COVID Recovery Center
Hartford HealthCare’s Recovery Center is the first in area devoted to COVID-19 patients with long-term symptoms.
Long-term COVID-19 symptoms can include:
- Muscle weakness.
- Difficulty breathing, speaking or swallowing, possibly resulting from heart or lung problems.
- Fatigue.
- Balance issues.
- Weakness or numbness in your arms and legs, or severe muscle pains.
- Difficulty walking or balancing.
- Pain.
- Headache.
- Trouble with thinking and memory.
- Stroke.
- Mood changes or mental health issues including post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Passing out (syncope).
- Abnormal heart rhythms, palpitations or arrhythmia.
- Chest discomfort.

Emotional Support: Community Care Center Hotline
The Community Care Center hotline (1.833.621.0600), offered by Hartford HealthCare’s Behavioral Health Network can direct you to help for depression, anxiety, isolation, post-traumatic stress disorder, job loss and other issues during the pandemic.

Getting Care from Your Doctor
If you prefer not to visit a doctor’s office, you can have a phone consultation or virtual visit for all non-COVID concerns. Call your doctor or dial 855.300.6933.
Emergency Care
Many people who would otherwise seek care for symptoms of an apparent stroke or heart attack are either delaying or avoiding treatment during COVID-19. Hartford HealthCare’s nine emergency departments follow strict safety guidelines to protect both the patient and healthcare workers.
